In July 2013, it became a criminal offence to place a construction product

on the market without a CE mark if it is covered by a harmonised standard.

This includes all industrial doors (except for fire resisting doors).

Manufacturers of non-fire industrial doors must apply the CE mark on their

products because they are covered by a harmonised standard under the

Construction Products Regulation.
